Want to lose weight? Eat well and don't look at the computer

April 5, 2023
In today's society, not only the CPU of the computer is concerned about dual-core or even multi-core, each of us is actually handling multiple tasks at the same time in many cases. There are probably many people who are used to ordering take-out for lunch, placing it at their computer desk while reading a document and talking on the phone, and then chewing two bites of rice in their mouths every now and then. Not only adults, but 1/4 of all children in the United States complete their meals in front of the TV. Just this way of eating, you may eat more and more, weight skyrocketing Oh!

Not too little fast food, but you eat too much

Everyone in the unit to eat work meals, usually at their desks to the computer to solve the lunch. If you measure the amount of lunch by the time you eat, you will certainly feel that you have not had time to taste, takeout has been eaten. If you think this is because the fast food portions are getting smaller and smaller, you may have wronged the fast food manufacturers. Studies have found that people who are distracted while eating will eat more than those who concentrate on eating. In fact, the computer screen while working and eating, in the intake of "mental food" at the same time, your "food" also rose, more importantly, such a rise is not limited to that "a "meal, and then there are more food will be eaten by your rising appetite. At home, watching TV (chatting) while eating is the same. In the past, it was widely believed that eating while watching TV (computer) reduced physical activity and thus led to the development of obesity. But in a recent survey of obese women, researchers found that they ate while watching TV half the time each week, and there is plenty of direct and indirect evidence that "screen time" leads to increased eating and is the real cause of obesity.

No sense of satiety, so you have to keep eating

A new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reports that eating while playing games (or eating while working) "makes us forget what we've eaten" compared to concentrating on eating, and that people who "eat without thinking" need longer to recall what they had just eaten. Don't think fast food doesn't deserve to be in your memory, even if the style and taste of fast food isn't worth savoring, but eating and forgetting makes the whole "foraging" process less satisfying. What's more, we not only forget to eat "what", but also do not remember to eat "how much". Scientists have also found that people who eat distracted lunches feel less full after lunch. Feeling full, combined with not feeling satisfied during the meal, can lead us to seek more food after the meal without "guilt". A number of scientific studies have shown that a lack of satisfaction and satiety can make inattentive eaters "actively" seek out snacks after a meal. Their snack-seeker state will last for 2.5 hours. During this period, they will eat nearly twice as many snacks than those who concentrate on eating! Typically, snacks are chips, cookies, pastries and other high-sugar, high-calorie foods. A meal inattentive, let you snacks for the chance of fat double. (An editor vainly glanced at the desk in the name of less food snacks.) So it seems that workaholics may not be thin because of work, but likely to gain weight because of work. I'm afraid that "forgetting to eat" is just to eat after forgetting to eat what and how much you ate. Many people have tried all sorts of ways to maintain their bodies and lose weight, but they may have given up because of the way they eat lunch. In short, all we have to do is to be a "single-core computer" and focus on one thing seriously: work seriously when you work, eat seriously when you eat. Every day at noon, put down the tedious work, give yourself a short but real rest time. Find a restaurant, order food, chew slowly, "seriously" enjoy the half-hour good time.
