Artemisia Foot Soak to Relieve Menstrual Cramps

Soak your feet for 15-20 minutes every day until you sweat. This is very effective in relieving menstrual cramps. First, take 30 grams of Artemisia leaves, 100 grams of ginger, and 100 milliliters of white wine. Rinse the Artemisia leaves, cut the ginger into thick slices, put them in a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, and simmer for 30 minutes. Then remove the residue and pour the juice into a basin. Add the white wine and steam your feet before soaking them. Note that the temperature of the steam should be around 90°C to prevent scalding. When the water temperature drops to around 40°C, soak your feet up to the ankles. While soaking, you can also massage the Yongquan acupoint, toes, and heels, which are all reflex zones of the reproductive system. Focusing on stimulating these areas helps to warm the uterus, promote blood circulation, and quickly dissipate blood stasis, thereby relieving pain.
