【Precautions for Using Qingmuxiang】

1. Qingmuxiang has mild toxicity. It is commonly used in folk medicine to treat abdominal pain. In clinical practice, it is also used in small doses to treat stomach and abdominal pain.

Slightly higher doses can cause nausea and vomiting. Prolonged use may have kidney toxicity.

Therefore, it is no longer commonly used to treat hypertension. The Chinese National Medical Products Administration has canceled its medicinal standards.

2. Avoid using it for patients with deficiency-cold syndrome.

According to "Tang Bencao": "Do not take it in large amounts as it can cause persistent vomiting and diarrhea."

According to "Ben Jing Feng Yuan": "For lung cold cough, cold phlegm asthma, and gastric deficiency with loss of appetite, avoid taking it as its pungent aroma can exacerbate the symptoms."
