How to manage mumps diet

Wild Chrysanthemum and Ginseng Soup

Directions: Take 15 grams each of Wild Chrysanthemum and Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng and make a decoction of water to drink as tea, as many times as necessary.

Mung bean and cabbage soup

Mung beans are cold in nature and have a significant detoxifying effect, while cabbage is good for the intestines and stomach, quenching thirst and diuresis. How to do it: Take 100 grams of mung beans, add water and boil them, then put 3 cabbage hearts, boil them for 20 minutes, take the juice and take them 1-2 times a day, until they are cured.

Burdock root porridge

Burdock root is bitter, pungent and cool in nature, with the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying, draining the wind and reducing swelling. Combined with japonica rice to make porridge, it is a good treatment for mumps. How to do: 30 grams of burdock root, decoction and filter, then add water, boil it and add 40 grams of japonica rice, cook the porridge with moderate heat, 1-2 times a day for a week.

Amaranth porridge

Amaranthus is sour in taste and cold in nature. It is suitable for mumps patients with insufficient stomach and yin. How to do it: Take 30 grams of round-grained rice and cook the porridge. When it is ready, add fresh amaranth to the porridge.

Comfrey root soup

Comfrey is bitter and cold in nature, and has the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying, cooling blood and activating blood circulation. It is suitable for people with deficiency of positive energy and heat toxicity in the late stage of mumps. Directions: Take 10 grams of comfrey root, decoct the juice and drink with a little brown sugar, 1-2 times a day for 3-5 days.

Soybean and mung bean porridge

Mung beans are sweet and cool in nature, and have the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying, reducing swelling and lowering gas, while soy beans moisten the spleen, reduce water retention and treat swelling and toxicity. Directions: 80 grams of soybeans, 160 grams of mung beans, 120 grams of brown sugar, add water and cook with a gentle fire until it is cooked and eat at will.
