How to preserve matsutake mushrooms

Matsutake is a kind of mushroom that can be eaten fresh and raw, with a particularly delicious taste, and can also be eaten in soup like other mushrooms, but this mushroom is more prone to spoilage, therefore, preservation is a problem, so how should this Matsutake be preserved?

Preservation at room temperature

Fresh pine mushrooms are easy to rot, but they can be kept for a long time at room temperature if handled properly. Wrap fresh mushrooms in fresh cabbage coconut and put them in a cool place, sprinkle some water on the cabbage leaves to keep them fresh for 1~2 days.

Refrigerator preservation

Fresh matsutake mushrooms are the most delicious, but also the most difficult to preserve, it only takes a few hours at room temperature to change color and deteriorate, the low temperature of the refrigerator can ease the deterioration of matsutake mushrooms, wash them and wrap them with plastic wrap, put them in the fresh layer of the refrigerator to keep them fresh for 2~4 days.

Drying and preserving

Fresh matsutake mushrooms can be dried like other mushrooms. Wash, slice and dry them in the sun, then pack them in a dry paper box with absorbent medicines such as pepper and peel, which can be stored for 1~3 years without deterioration.

Frozen Preservation

Fresh matsutake mushrooms can also be transported over long distances, just chill them before transportation. Take fresh matsutake mushrooms, wash them and put them in the freezing layer of the refrigerator with the temperature set at about -10 degrees Celsius for rapid chilling.

Salting method

Boil the whole fresh mushrooms in boiling water for about 5 minutes, drain them, put them in a container and sprinkle them with salt. The amount of salt is the amount of water that can be extracted from the mushrooms. When ready to serve, fish out the mushrooms, rinse them several times with water, and cook.
