Loquat to relieve cough

The efficacy of loquat in relieving cough and phlegm has long been familiar to us and has been used since ancient times, and cough syrup and cough granules made of loquat abound in pharmacies, so how can we use loquat to stop cough at home?

Loquat cough syrup

Cut loquat (fruit) into half, you can remove the core, cut the pulp into pieces, put it into a soup pot, boil it on high heat, then cook it on low heat for about 30 minutes, you can add rock sugar to cook it together, or add honey after it is cooked. Take it daily in the morning and evening.

Loquat leaf cough water

Select 5-6 fresh batch of leaves, wash them and brush the lint on the back of the leaves, put them into a cooking pot, add about 800 ml of water and boil them on high heat, and take them twice a day.

Loquat kernel cough tea

Choose 9-15 grams of loquat kernels, mash the kernels first, then add 3 slices of ginger into a cooking pot with water and boil it over high heat, remove the dregs and take it once in the morning and once in the evening.

Loquat leaf and round-grained rice porridge to relieve cough

You can choose about 10-15 grams of dried loquat leaves and 150 grams of round-grained rice, and add a little rock sugar or honey according to your preference. Wash the loquat leaves first, wrap them in a cloth, put them in a pot with water and boil them over high heat, then take the thick juice and remove the dregs. Or you can also take fresh loquat leaves, wash and brush the lint on the back of the leaves, cut them finely, decoct the juice and remove the dregs, then add japonica rice to make porridge and take. The fruit, kernels and leaves of loquat are all good remedies for cough, and the bitter amygdalin it contains can moisten the lungs and stop coughing and dissolve phlegm, so you may want to try these recipes at home when you have a bad cough.
