During pregnancy, women face many challenges, especially in terms of diet and activities. However, no matter what, the most important thing is to have a healthy and adorable baby. Proper diet during pregnancy has a crucial impact on both the mother and the baby.

1. Supplement with vitamins for morning sickness

Morning sickness is one of the most uncomfortable and common reactions experienced by pregnant women, causing significant distress. Choosing foods that suit a pregnant woman's taste can help prevent morning sickness. Nutritionists believe that lemons and potatoes are particularly suitable for pregnant women as they contain various vitamins.

2. Spinach for a healthy pregnancy

Spinach is rich in folic acid, with a content of up to 350 micrograms per 100 grams, ranking at the top among vegetables. The main function of folic acid is to protect the fetus from neural tube defects, hydrocephalus, anencephaly, and other neurological abnormalities. Therefore, experts recommend that pregnant women consume more spinach or take folic acid supplements during the first two months of pregnancy. Additionally, the abundant B vitamins in spinach can prevent common complications during pregnancy, such as pelvic infections, depression, and insomnia.

3. Eating fish to prevent premature birth

Research by Danish experts shows that regular consumption of fish can help prevent premature birth. Pregnant women from the Danish archipelago of Gotland have an average gestation period of more than 5 days longer than women from other regions, which experts attribute to the higher proportion of fish in their diets. It is believed that certain special fatty acids found in fish play a positive role. Due to the prolonged gestation period, babies born in this region have an average birth weight that is 107 grams higher than those from other areas, providing a good foundation for their future development. Therefore, it is recommended to consume more fish during pregnancy.

4. Nuts for brain development

In addition to regular meals, pregnant women can also consume snacks to diversify their nutrient intake. Experts suggest eating some seeds, such as sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and watermelon seeds. Sunflower seeds are rich in vitamin E, while pumpkin seeds contain a higher amount of linoleic acid, which promotes fetal brain development. Eating some dried fruits during pregnancy can also help with the baby's brain development.

The foods mentioned above are suitable for consumption during pregnancy. However, I would like to remind pregnant women to avoid eating raw or cold foods, and to moderate their consumption of coffee and tea. Alcohol should be strictly avoided as it can have a negative impact on the baby's development.
