Did you know? Your skin is actually begging for help. Every day, when you apply a lot of cosmetics to your face, these products go beyond what your skin can handle. In addition, if you don't cleanse properly, you leave residual substances from the cosmetics on the surface of your skin. We all wash our faces every day, but do you know that there is a proper way to cleanse your face? Incorrect cleansing methods can worsen your skin condition. So, what are some of the wrong ways to cleanse your face? And do you know how to properly cleanse your face? Today, I will share with you the correct methods and important points to note when cleansing your face.

Correct Cleansing Methods

Properly cleansing your facial skin is the key to any beauty routine, and washing your face is the simplest and most common method. Everyone washes their face every day, but not everyone understands the scientific way to do it. Let's discuss some questions about washing your face.

⑴ Water Temperature for Washing: Generally speaking, the most suitable water temperature for washing your face is warm water, which is close to the temperature of your skin. It should not be too cold or too hot. This ensures that your pores are fully open without excessive loss of the skin's natural moisturizing oil.

⑵ Frequency of Washing: Some people believe that the more often you wash your face, the better. However, soaking your skin in water all day long is actually terrible because it will strip away a large amount of nutrients from your skin. Not washing your face when it is dirty is also detrimental to your skin, as bacteria, fungi, viruses, and other microorganisms can invade your skin, leading to facial skin diseases. Therefore, not washing your face is not an option. Generally, washing your face twice a day is recommended. If necessary, you can also wash your face at noon. If you work in a dirty environment, it is understandable to wash your face more times a day, but excessive frequency is not advisable.

⑶ Proper Use of Facial Cleanser: When washing your face, regardless of the type of facial cleanser you use, do not use too much. Before applying the facial cleanser to your face, you should first create enough foam in the palm of your hand. Many people forget this step, but it is the most important one. If the facial cleanser does not foam sufficiently, it will not only fail to achieve a cleansing effect, but may also remain in the pores and cause acne. After applying the foam to your face, gently massage in a clockwise direction, using gentle movements. This not only removes dirt from your face, but also effectively massages your facial muscles, increasing the elasticity of your skin.

⑷ Rinsing off the Foam: When rinsing, if you want to remove the facial cleanser completely, you need to use a large amount of water and rinse at least 20 times to thoroughly wash away the facial cleanser.

⑸ Drying Your Face: Do not vigorously rub your face with a towel, but gently pat it dry. Rubbing your face too hard can easily injure your skin. Instead, gently press the towel against your face to absorb the water. Then apply a suitable toner to your face, and finally use a moisturizer or lotion to nourish and moisturize your skin, making it soft and smooth. In addition, towels should be regularly cleaned and dried in the sun to avoid hanging them in the bathroom, as this can promote the growth of mites, which can eventually lead to facial acne.
