Things to note about nausea and morning sickness during early pregnancy:

1. Do not fast or eat less when feeling nauseous. The main cause of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women is the continuous stimulation of the gastrointestinal smooth muscles by increased estrogen levels, resulting in a feeling of nausea. On the contrary, eating more food can alleviate the stimulation on the stomach. Also, do not use the method of not eating or eating less to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting. In fact, not eating not only does not alleviate vomiting, but also deprives the pregnant woman of essential nutrients, which is detrimental to both the mother and the baby.

2. Avoid eating difficult-to-digest foods and eat more starchy foods such as bread, biscuits, potatoes, and rice. Drink a glass of milk in the morning to ensure basic supply of calcium and protein. Prepare some biscuit snacks and eat them whenever you feel like it. After meals, lie down and rest for about half an hour, and eat a few more biscuits when feeling nauseous, which will help alleviate the nausea.
