The Benefits and Cautions of Homemade Skincare Products

December 14, 2023

In daily life, some beauty-conscious women often make their own skincare products. They believe that homemade products are made with quality ingredients and are reliable, so they can use them without any worries.

Homemade skincare products usually require a good base cream, such as snow cream, as a medium, and then add some suitable nutrients. The following are three common methods of making homemade skincare products:

The first method is to mix 0.1 grams of pearl powder into 10 grams of snow cream, and apply the mixture to the face. Do it once a night for two hours each time, with a treatment duration of 1-3 months. This can make the face more radiant and prevent facial skin from sagging.

The second method is to mix 0.3 grams of coptis powder into 10 grams of snow cream, and apply the mixture to the face. Do it once a night for two hours each time, with a treatment duration of 1-3 months. This can treat enlarged pores and skin inflammation.

The third method is to put pearl powder and glycerin in a thoroughly sterilized container, mix them into a paste, and apply it to the face. Leave it on for 2-3 hours and wash it off before going to bed. Do it continuously for 3 months, and it can reduce wrinkles, age spots, and prevent skin aging.

However, when using homemade skincare products frequently, it is important to pay attention to the amount of ingredients. Excessive nutrients beyond the skin's absorption limit will be wasted. On the other hand, too much oil in products like snow cream can clog pores and cause acne. If conditions allow, it is recommended to use qualified cosmetics sold in regular stores as the main skincare products, and use homemade skincare products as supplements, using them for three to five days a month.
