[Identification Methods of Blood-activating Herb]

1. Appearance: The stem of Blood-activating Herb is cylindrical with a diameter of 0.3-2.5cm. The surface is gray-green to dark brown, with multiple longitudinal ridges. The ridges are covered with yellow-brown to rusty short hairs. The medulla is wide, white, spongy, slightly glossy, with scattered brown-red spots, more on the outer side of the medulla.

The leaves are pinnately compound, wrinkled and fragmented. The leaflets that are intact become lanceolate after unfolding, measuring 5-15cm in length and 2-4cm in width. They are green-brown to dark green, with short petioles and covered with short hairs. The edges are serrated.

Occasionally, there are terminal cone-shaped inflorescences with small, light yellow or white flowers.
