Preventing Chickenpox: Dietary Tips and Secret Recipes

Dietary Taboos for Chickenpox

1. Avoid pungent and greasy foods

Although chickenpox and measles are both eruptive febrile diseases, measles requires the use of stimulating foods to promote eruptions. Chickenpox, on the other hand, should be treated with cooling foods and should not be stimulated. Eating stimulating foods will increase the number and size of chickenpox, prolonging the course of the disease. Therefore, it is advised to avoid consuming stimulating foods such as coriander (cilantro), rice wine, crucian carp, ginger, green onion, lamb, rooster meat, shrimp, eel, and pumpkin. These foods can easily cause chickenpox to relapse and persist for a long time.
