Mushroom and Tofu

Ingredients

Tofu 60g, Carrot 10g, Bamboo Shoot 10g, Mushroom 10g, Spring Onion 5g, Rice 200g, Soup, Soy Sauce, Salt, a little of each.

Method

1. For the dietary therapy of gallstones, mushroom and tofu, cut the tofu into small pieces of about 3cm: wash the carrot and cut off the tail, then cut into thin slices; remove the root and shell of the bamboo shoot, wash it, and cut into small pieces; wash the mushroom and cut it in half; cut the spring onion into thin strips.

2. Next, add enough soup to a clay pot, and add the above ingredients. Stew and cook over low heat. When it is almost cooked, add some soy sauce and a little salt to taste.

Lotus Seed Porridge

Ingredients

Lotus Seeds 25g, Rice or Glutinous Rice 50g, Rock Sugar to taste.

Method

1. Soak the lotus seeds in boiling water to expand. Remove the skin and core, and put them in the pot. Add a suitable amount of cold water and cook over low heat for half an hour, until it is cooked but not mushy, then remove.

2. Wash the rice, put it in the pot, add a suitable amount of cold water, and boil over high heat for 10 minutes. Then pour in the lotus seed meat and soup, and switch to low heat to cook for about half an hour. Add rock sugar to taste.

Eel and Chinese Herbal Soup

Ingredients

Eel 300g, Codonopsis Pilosula 30g, Chinese Angelica 30g, Shredded Spring Onion, Shredded Ginger, a suitable amount, Minced Garlic, Cooking Wine, Salt, Monosodium Glutamate, a little of each.

Method

1. Split the eel from the back, remove the bones, internal organs, head, and tail, then wash it and cut it into 4cm long strips. Wash Codonopsis Pilosula and Chinese Angelica, and put them in the same muslin bag.

2. Put the eel strips and muslin bag into a clay pot, add cooking wine, shredded spring onion, shredded ginger, minced garlic, salt, and a suitable amount of water. Boil with high heat first, then simmer on low heat for about 1 hour. Remove the medicine bag, add monosodium glutamate to taste, and serve.
