What to Do About Premature Graying in Young People?

Some individuals experience premature graying of hair due to genetic or environmental factors, causing them to face special treatment and unfair judgment. If you want to know how to treat premature graying in young people, let's find out together.

Premature graying not only affects one's appearance but also impacts their psychological well-being, often leading to extreme self-doubt and insecurity.

Dietary Remedies

1. Wash and steam black beans, store them in a porcelain jar, and consume 6 grams twice a day. Chew them and swallow with a pinch of saltwater. Additionally, eat one egg and two walnuts daily for effective results.

2. Take several walnuts, remove the shells and skins, stir-fry the walnut meat until fragrant and finely chop. Separately, take 60 grams each of goji berries and Polygonum multiflorum, and 240 grams of small or black soybeans.

First, simmer goji berries and Polygonum multiflorum in water until the liquid thickens, then add the finely chopped walnut meat and black soybeans to the mixture. Simmer until the walnut meat becomes tender, and the liquid is completely absorbed by the black soybeans.

Remove the mixture and let it dry or gently heat it until dry. Consume 6-9 grams twice a day on an empty stomach or whenever hungry.

3. Wash 1000 grams of fresh mulberries (or 500 grams of dried mulberries) and boil them in an adequate amount of water. Collect the decoction every 30 minutes, then add water and boil again, repeating the process twice.

Combine the decoctions and simmer until it becomes thick. Boil 300 grams of honey and add it to the mixture. After it cools, store it in a bottle. Consume one tablespoon by diluting it with boiling water, twice a day.

4. Soak 1000 grams of walnuts in cold water for three days. Remove the skin and tip, melt an appropriate amount of sugar in a pot, mix it with the walnuts, and let it cool before consumption. Eat 10 grams twice a day.

5. Crush 250 grams each of black sesame seeds and fresh mulberries, and add a little honey to the mixture. Store it in a bottle and consume one tablespoon with hot water three times a day.

6. Ferment the water from washing glutinous rice and use it to rub and wash the hair. Let the water settle for three days until it becomes acidic, then use it to wash the hair. Use it once a day continuously to promote black hair growth and enhance hair moisture and shine.

7. Boil soybeans with rice vinegar until the beans become soft. Remove the beans and simmer the remaining liquid until it thickens. Apply it to the hair to darken gray hair.

8. Mix 250 grams of black beans, 30 white nuts, 100 grams of black sesame, and 150 grams of Polygonum multiflorum. Store the mixture in a bottle and consume 30 grams after breakfast every day.

Early Graying? Consider Nourishing the Liver and Kidneys with Soup

Many individuals experience premature graying, which can be frustrating. Having to dye one's hair every month is bothersome, and there have been reports of scalp cancer due to exposure to hair dye. Some individuals prefer not to dye their hair due to fear of the potential risks.

Experts explain that the color of hair throughout a person's life is determined by the type and quantity of melanin particles in the hair. As one ages, the production of melanin decreases, resulting in localized graying hair. Typically, gray hair appears first at the temples, followed by the hairline, and eventually on the top of the head.

If you have early graying hair, there are a few options. If the white hair is mixed with black hair, it can be cut or pulled out. Dyeing the hair occasionally is also an option, but it should not be done too frequently due to the lead content in hair dye, which can cause skin allergies and contact dermatitis.

If only a small amount of white hair is present, hair follicle transplantation can be considered for black hair restoration. Although this is a viable medical option, it is rarely pursued by both hospitals and patients.

Early graying hair may be related to certain nutritional deficiencies, and supplementing with specific nutrients may be beneficial.

For example, cystine is an amino acid that hair keratin requires. Additionally, supplementing with trace elements such as copper and zinc can help prevent a reduction in melanin synthesis.

After Gray Hair Appears, Traditional Chinese Medicine Can Be Used for Adjustment

Adding some Chinese herbs to homemade soups can be beneficial, such as Cornus officinalis, Polygonum multiflorum, Rehmannia glutinosa, walnuts, Ganoderma lucidum, goji berries, Chinese wolfberries, raspberry, Ophiopogon japonicus, Polygonatum sibiricum, and Angelica sinensis. Alternatively, drinking water infused with black sesame or Polygonum multiflorum can also be helpful, with daily consumption of 20-30 grams of Polygonum multiflorum.
