March 28, 2024

Gynecological diseases have become a threat to women's health. More and more women are troubled by gynecological diseases. In daily life, we can treat these minor diseases through gynecological diet therapy. However, for gynecological diseases, prevention should be the main focus. So what should we eat to prevent gynecological diseases?

   Gynecological diet therapy

   1. Cervical cancer: eat folic acid

Through investigations of women in areas with a high incidence of cervical cancer, it was found that women with insufficient folic acid levels not only have an increased risk of neural tube defects in their babies during pregnancy, but also have an increased risk of cervical cancer themselves.

Therefore, women should supplement folic acid appropriately, including taking folic acid supplements and consuming foods rich in folic acid, such as animal liver and kidneys, spinach, bok choy, amaranth, chives, fish, eggs, grains, soy products, and nuts, to effectively prevent and reduce the incidence of cervical cancer.

   2. Depression: eat fish

Due to the influence of hormonal changes, women are more prone to depression than men. Studies have found that regularly eating fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon and sardines, can help women relieve depression or reduce the incidence of depression. This is because the omega-3 fatty acids in these fish have antidepressant effects.

   3. Dysmenorrhea: eat bananas

Bananas are rich in vitamin B6, which has a calming effect on the nerves. It can stabilize women's anxiety during menstruation, improve sleep, and reduce abdominal pain.

   4. Anemia: eat high iron foods

Due to periodic blood loss and childbirth, more than 30% of women have mild iron deficiency anemia. Long-term anemia can lead to decreased ovarian function and have an impact on women's health.

Blood supplementation is a lifelong task for women. Foods such as animal liver, lean meat, and spinach not only have high iron content, but are also easily absorbed. Medical experts particularly remind women to drink less concentrated tea and coffee during menstruation to avoid inhibiting iron absorption due to the tannic acid in them.

   5. Candidal vaginitis: eat garlic

Women who regularly consume garlic are less likely to suffer from candidal vaginitis. This is because garlic is rich in substances such as allicin and garlicin, which are sulfur-containing natural bactericidal substances that have strong antibacterial effects and can inhibit the excessive growth and reproduction of candida in the vagina.

   6. Decreased estrogen: eat soy products

Estrogen is an important hormone in women's bodies. When it falls below normal levels in the blood, it can affect women's reproductive and sexual functions, as well as cause the heart to lose protection.

The isoflavones in soybeans are substances similar to estrogen and can compensate for the deficiency of estrogen in the body. Drinking 500 milliliters of soy milk or consuming more than 100 grams of soy products such as tofu and dried bean curd every day can effectively regulate endocrine function and restore estrogen to normal levels.

   7. Discomfort during menstruation: drink honey milk

Obstetricians and gynecologists have found that drinking a cup of hot milk with honey before bed every night during menstruation can alleviate or eliminate various discomforts. This is because the potassium in milk can soothe emotions and has the effects of relieving abdominal pain, preventing infection, and reducing menstrual flow; the magnesium in honey can calm the central nervous system and help eliminate tension during menstruation.

   8. Breast disease: eat whole grain foods and red wine

Women of childbearing age who consume more whole grain foods in their diet can maintain appropriate estrogen levels in the blood circulation, avoiding excessive estrogen levels that may cause breast diseases.

Kelp contains a large amount of iodine, which can stimulate the anterior pituitary gland to secrete luteinizing hormone, promote ovarian follicle luteinization, and balance estrogen levels in the body. Therefore, regularly consuming kelp helps prevent and treat breast hyperplasia.

Research has shown that red grape skins and grape seeds contain a natural anticancer substance that can prevent excessive estrogen levels from stimulating breast tissue and causing malignancy. Therefore, drinking an appropriate amount of red wine (1 small cup) or eating some grapes every day can help women prevent breast cancer and also prevent heart disease.
