GuanMuTong clears heart fire, promotes urination, and regulates menstruation and lactation. It is used for oral ulcers, restlessness and red urine, edema, painful and difficult urination, leucorrhea, amenorrhea with reduced lactation, and damp-heat arthralgia.

[Preparation of GuanMuTong]

Wash, soak slightly, moisten thoroughly, cut into thin slices, and dry in the sun.

This product is round and thin, with a yellow or yellow-white surface.

The wood part is wide and the ducts are large, arranged in multiple layers in a sieve-like pattern, with light-colored rays and an indistinct medulla.

Oral administration: Decoction, 3-6g. External use: appropriate amount, decoction for fumigation and washing.

GuanMuTong should not be used by those without damp-heat syndrome or pregnant women. Excessive dosage can cause acute renal failure and even death.
