Wuzhuyu Decoction is used to treat Jueyin syndrome with dry retching, vomiting saliva, and headache. It is used for Shaoyin syndrome with vomiting, diarrhea, cold hands and feet, restlessness, and desire to die. It is used for Yangming syndrome with the desire to vomit after eating.

[Annotation]: Luo Qianfu said: In Zhang Zhongjing's methods for rescuing yang, ginger and fu are always used in Shaoyin Four Counterflow Decoction, and dried ginger is added in Tongmai Four Counterflow Decoction. The use of dried fu in Fu Zi Decoction is increased to two pieces. The reason for this is that either to strengthen the weak yang and make it outwardly reach, or to attract the flying yang and make it return inwardly. These are all urgent measures to restore yang in Shaoyin syndrome. As for treating Jueyin syndrome, Wuzhuyu is used to replace the previous decoction, and only ginseng, ginger, and jujube are used. This is because although the liver wood of the human body is the intersection of the two yins, the true qi of the yang rises within it. If this vital qi becomes deficient, the turbid qi of the three yins will directly approach the upper part, causing all the symptoms of the original meridian and the dysfunction of the healthy function of Yangming. The true yang of Shaoyin will manifest and become apparent, resulting in vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, desire to die, and desire to vomit after eating. All kinds of symptoms will occur.

Wuzhuyu can obtain the trembling qi of the eastern direction, which is pungent, bitter, and hot. It can reach the depressed wood and directly enter the Jueyin. It can reduce the excessive turbid qi of Yin and make the Yin darkness completely disappear. It is used as the lord. Ginseng is endowed with the harmonizing qi of the commanding and harmonizing, sweet and warm, and can connect with the true qi of heaven, restore the dying vital qi, and make the sunlight shine all over. It is used as the minister. Ginger and jujube harmonize the stomach and promote the circulation of the four limbs. In this way, the trembling kun and the virtue of wood and earth are not harmful, and the wonderful use of the true yang is achieved, and there is nothing but the vital qi between the three jiaos. Are there any symptoms that cannot be resolved? Zhang Zhongjing's methods in Shaoyin syndrome focus on consolidating the original yang, while in Jueyin syndrome, they focus on protecting the vital qi. Students should think deeply and understand these principles.
