【Processing Method】

1. Soak Xueshan Yizhihao in cold water, changing the water 2-3 times a day, until it no longer has a numbing or spicy sensation. Take it out and cook it with licorice and black beans until the center has no white core. Then, remove it and dry it.

2. Soak it in clean water for 7 days, changing the water twice a day, until the center becomes soft and translucent. Cut it into slices and steam it in a steamer for 2-3 hours. Take it out and dry it.

Xueshan Yizhihao is highly toxic, and the toxic reactions usually appear within 0.5 to 3 hours after administration. The main symptoms include mild drowsiness, burning sensation in the mouth, increased secretions.

In severe cases, there may be numbness, weakness, coldness, bloating, discomfort in the throat, nausea, vomiting, excessive salivation, dizziness, palpitations, restlessness, abdominal pain with urge to defecate.

In critical cases, there may be loss of consciousness, cold limbs, irregular heartbeat, decreased blood pressure, difficulty breathing, seizures, and coma. Electrocardiogram may show frequent premature contractions. Death can occur due to circulatory and respiratory failure in severe cases.
