  Symptoms of Poisoning

  Digestive symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea, and can also cause paralysis.

  Rescue Methods

  1. Oral or gastric infusion with a large amount of warm water, or saline solution, 1:1000-1:1500 potassium permanganate solution, 0.5% tannic acid solution. Or use 300-500ml of normal saline or soapy water for high enema.

  2. Intravenous drip of vitamin C, B1, B12 in 5% glucose saline solution to enhance the ability to resist toxins, promote detoxification and elimination of toxins.

  3. For severe gastroenteritis and severe abdominal pain, take 10ml of dianqie mixture orally, 3 times a day, and inject 0.6mg of atropine sulfate intramuscularly.

  4. If there is limb paralysis, inject sedative, once a day, and also use vitamin B and B12 for auxiliary treatment, intramuscular injection, once a day.

  5. When there is difficulty in breathing or respiratory paralysis, administer oxygen, perform artificial respiration, or inhale ammonia water, and inject respiratory stimulants such as sodium camphor sulphonate, caffeine, metaraminol, lobeline, etc.

  6. Take detoxifying agents orally, such as scutellaria, licorice, ledebouriella, mung bean, etc., decocted in water.

  Medication Contraindications

  The entire plant of ze xie is toxic, especially the underground root. The dosage of ze xie is generally controlled within ten grams, because this Chinese medicinal material itself is toxic, although it has multiple effects, it can easily cause poisoning problems.

  Moreover, all medicines have some degree of toxicity and side effects, so medication must be taken with caution. If possible, choose Chinese herbal medicines that have similar effects but are non-toxic, which can achieve better results.

  It is best to use ze xie in minimal quantities. When boiling Chinese herbal medicine, follow the dosage instructions on the package and add the herbal medicine in a reasonable amount to avoid poisoning.
