  Purple Oil Wood Leaves have a bitter and slightly astringent taste, a cool nature, and enter the large intestine meridian. They have the effects of clearing heat, dispelling dampness, and relieving stagnation. They can be taken internally and can also be used externally. They have the following uses:

  1. Diarrhea and dysentery: They can be combined with other medicines such as Veratrum, Coptis, Honeysuckle, Paeonia, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, Agarwood, and Betel Nut.
