【Source】 The living or dried whole body of the larva of Euroleon sinicus (Navas), a member of the Mantididae family of the order Mantodea. It is excavated from sandy soil in spring and autumn, and can be dried or used fresh after sun drying.

【Origin】 Mainly produced in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hebei, Anhui, Liaoning and other places.

【Nature and Flavor】 Salty, cool. Toxic.

【Dosage】 1-2 fen (unit of weight). For external use, apply a suitable amount of the dried and powdered herb to the affected area.

Functions and Effects of Golden Sand Ox

    Used to treat sandy urine, malaria, boils, and scrofula.

1. Treatment of Malaria

    Take eleven pieces of Golden Sand Ox and swallow with wine. Take it half an hour before the onset of malaria. For chronic malaria, take it for one week.

2. Treatment of Malaria in Children

    Take seven pieces of Golden Sand Ox, fry and grind into powder, and swallow with boiled water.

3. Treatment of Boils
