1. Key points for differentiation: This formula is commonly used to treat chest congestion. The key symptoms for clinical application are hardness and distention in the epigastric region, pain and resistance to pressure, constipation, dry tongue, yellow coating, and deep and forceful pulse. This formula should be avoided in patients who are weak or unable to tolerate purgatives. As a strong purgative, it is important to prevent excessive diarrhea that may harm the body's vitality, while also ensuring timely purgation to avoid lingering pathogenic factors. Whether to continue purgation should be determined based on the speed of relief after taking the medicine.
