Plant Morphology: Chigeng Vine is a vine that can grow up to 4 meters long. The branches and inflorescences are covered with soft hairs. The leaves are opposite, ovate, or rectangular in shape, measuring 2.5-3 cm long and 1.5-4 cm wide. The apex is blunt or short-pointed, the base is narrow or rounded, and both sides are smooth or only the veins are covered with soft hairs. The petiole is 6-8 mm long, hairy, and has clustered glands at the top. The umbel inflorescence is axillary, 1.5 cm long; the calyx is 5-lobed, lobes ovate; the corolla is bell-shaped, yellow, 5-lobed, with a diameter of about 4 mm, and has 5 fleshy scales alternating with the corolla lobes; there are 5 stamens, fused into a tube; the stigma is broad and blunt, concave-conical, protruding from the stamens. The fruit is hard and about 5 cm long, with a wide base. The seeds are oval, thin and concave, with radial, white, silky hairs. It blooms in July and grows in forests or shrubs. It is distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, and other places.
