December 16, 2023

Since ancient times, Ganoderma has been known as "immortal herb, auspicious herb" and other names. Traditional Chinese medicine has long regarded it as a precious medicinal herb for nourishing and strengthening the body. In the western part of China, it is known as the "divine herb". In the novel "The Legend of the White Snake", Bai Suzhen risked her life to steal Ganoderma from Mount Emei to revive her husband. Various immortal stories and martial arts novels have depicted Ganoderma as a "life-reviving" herb.

Ganoderma has a wide range of pharmacological effects, such as sedative, cardiotonic, coronary artery dilation, and improvement of myocardial microcirculation. It can purify the blood, lower blood lipid and blood sugar levels, and has good synergistic therapeutic effects on conditions such as neurasthenia, rheumatoid arthritis, coronary heart disease, hypertension, liver diseases, diabetes, and tumors. It can also reduce the adverse reactions of cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy.

Precautions for taking Ganoderma:

1. A small number of people may be allergic to Ganoderma and should not consume it.

2. Ganoderma is not recommended for use in patients undergoing surgery or those experiencing heavy bleeding.

3. Ganoderma takes effect relatively late, usually taking effect 3-5 days after consumption. In some cases, it may take effect on the second day, while for a few individuals, it may take 10 days or even 30-60 days to take effect.

4. The efficacy and duration of treatment are related. A longer treatment period results in better effects. The duration can range from 2-3 months to 6-12 months, or it can be taken long-term.

5. There are no restrictions on taking Ganoderma together with other foods or drugs.

6. A small number of patients may experience mild discomfort after taking Ganoderma, such as gastric discomfort, dry throat, constipation, and difficulty falling asleep. In rare cases, nosebleeds may occur. If these symptoms occur, there is no need to worry. It is similar to some people experiencing dry mouth and sore throat after eating spicy peppers or ginger. Continued use will lead to the disappearance of these discomforts. In case of severe reactions, temporary suspension of consumption may be necessary.
