There are also some traditional Chinese medicines that, although not highly toxic in themselves, have strong effects such as promoting bowel movements, promoting Qi circulation, breaking up blood stasis, inducing vomiting, and regulating menstruation. These medicines can also easily cause premature delivery or miscarriage in pregnant women, so they should be used with caution.
