December 15, 2023

He Shou Wu is a commonly used Chinese herbal medicine. It can not only be used as medicine but also as a health food ingredient for people to consume. One of the ways to use it is to make wine. Below, I will recommend two methods for making He Shou Wu wine!

Method 1

Recipe: He Shou Wu, Shu Di Huang, Goji Berries, Huang Jing, Dang Gui, Bai Jiu (Chinese white liquor)

Steps: Wash all the ingredients and chop them into pieces. Put them into a cloth bag. Put the cloth bag into a wine jar and seal it. Shake the wine jar several times a day. After soaking for a week, the dregs can be removed and the wine can be consumed.

It is recommended to take it once in the morning and once in the evening, with a dosage of about 10 to 20 milliliters each time.

Effects: The main effects are tonifying the spleen and kidneys, and promoting the production of essence and blood. If you experience symptoms such as soreness in the waist and knees, dizziness, decreased appetite, and poor mental state, taking this herbal wine can have a good effect.

Method 2

Recipe: He Shou Wu, Rou Cong Rong, Goji Berries, Saffron, Fu Ling, Dang Gui

Steps: Rinse the prepared Chinese herbal medicines with clean water to remove surface dust. Then dry them in a ventilated place. Put them directly into a large clean glass bottle, add an appropriate amount of rock sugar, and then pour in the prepared high-quality white liquor. Seal it and soak for 20 to 30 days. After soaking, take it out and consume directly.

Effects: This herbal wine can nourish the kidneys and strengthen the waist, and also relieve liver and kidney yin deficiency in humans.
