Traditional Chinese Medicine Medicinal Diets for Weight Loss

January 16, 2024

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that "fat people have more phlegm and dampness". Generally, obese people have imbalanced diets, excessive appetite, or a preference for fatty, greasy, and sweet foods, which can lead to spleen deficiency, lung dysfunction, and phlegm stagnation in the body, resulting in obesity. Therefore, Chinese medicine weight loss is based on the principles of invigorating the spleen and eliminating dampness, promoting digestion and resolving accumulation, activating blood circulation and relieving fatigue, and transforming phlegm and resolving stagnation. The use of medicinal diet for weight loss involves selecting appropriate food and medication combinations to create delicious meals.
