1. Leg Acupoints
To achieve effective slimming of the legs through scraping, it is important to know the acupoints on the legs.
(1) Fu Tu Acupoint: Located above the outer side of the knee on the thigh, it feels like a protrusion when the muscles are tight.
(2) Xue Hai Acupoint: Located above the inner side of the knee when the thigh muscles are tight, pressing on it may cause pain.
(3) Feng Shi Acupoint: Stand straight with hands naturally hanging on both sides of the body, the middle finger tip touches the outer side of the thigh.
(4) Cheng Fu Acupoint: Located at the junction of the back of the thigh and the buttocks.
(5) Wei Zhong Acupoint: Located at the back of the leg, below the knee, in the middle of the calf.
(6) Zu San Li Acupoint: Located about 3 inches below the outer knee pit, about 2 centimeters outward.
(7) San Yin Jiao Acupoint: Located 3 inches above the inner ankle.
(8) Xuan Zhong Acupoint: Located 3 inches above the outer ankle, where there is a depression.
(9) Cheng Shan Acupoint: Located at the depression where the Achilles tendon meets the calf muscle when the calf muscles are tightened.
2. Scraping Technique for the Legs
Start scraping from the acupoints at the base of the thighs, scraping diagonally downward. The acupoints on both legs must be scraped symmetrically, meaning that both acupoints on one leg must be scraped before moving on to the next acupoint. The scraping board should be held at a 90-45 degree angle in relation to the direction of scraping.
If you are unable to locate a specific acupoint, you can also scrape a large area in the approximate location of the acupoint. This ensures coverage of effective acupoints and is a advantage of scraping for leg slimming compared to acupuncture. It does not require precise technical skills and can be done at home.
