December 3, 2023

According to traditional Chinese medicine, the liver is connected to the eyes, and the eyes rely on blood for vision. Staying up late, working overtime, and excessive internet use can deplete the blood in the liver. To alleviate the damage to the eyes caused by staying up late, it is recommended to drink some nourishing eye congee.

Goji Berry and Mulberry Congee: 5 grams of goji berries, 5 grams of mulberries, 5 grams of Chinese yam, 5 red dates, and 100 grams of glutinous rice. Cook the above ingredients into congee and consume it twice a day, in the morning and evening.

Pork Liver and Egg Congee: 50 grams of pork liver, 1 egg, 50 grams of glutinous rice, a pinch of salt, ginger, and MSG. Cut the pork liver into small pieces and cook it with rice to make congee. When it is cooked, add the beaten egg, salt, ginger, and MSG for seasoning. This congee nourishes the liver and improves eyesight, relieving blurry vision caused by watching TV.

Rice and Cassia Seed Congee: Roast 10 grams of cassia seeds and 60 grams of rice. After the cassia seeds cool down, make a decoction. Then, cook the rice with the decoction and add a small amount of rock sugar when it is cooked. This congee has the function of clearing the liver and improving vision.
