Due to improper use of the eyes, modern people often experience a decline in vision. Taking care of the eyes can help improve vision.
Eye Relaxation
There is no restriction on body position. During standing exercises, slightly bend the legs and open them to shoulder-width. Place both hands on the Qi Hai acupoint. During sitting exercises, sit upright with hands resting on the knees. Close the mouth, focus on the eyes, regulate the breath, relax the body, balance the energy, and calm the mind.
Eye Adjustment
Close the eyes and look upwards, then downwards. Coordinate the breath with the movements, inhaling when looking upwards and exhaling when looking downwards. Repeat this 36 times. Then open the eyes and perform the same movements of looking upwards and downwards, also repeating 36 times. Next, perform the following exercises:
Four-Way Gaze: Close the eyes and gaze in a clockwise direction - left, up, right, down. Coordinate the breath with the movements, inhaling when looking left or up, and exhaling when looking right or down. Complete one full rotation in each direction, repeating this 36 times. Then open the eyes and gaze in a counterclockwise direction, repeating the same movements 36 times. Proceed to the following exercise:
Focused Gaze: Choose a fixed point straight ahead (the finer the details, the better, but it should still be clear, at a distance of 50-100 meters). Open the eyes and focus on that point, maintaining concentration and natural breathing. Maintain focus for about 15 minutes, then proceed to the next exercise.
Back and forth Gaze: Use the chosen fixed point from the previous exercise as the far point and the tip of the nose as the near point. Open the eyes and gaze at the far point until it is as clear as possible. During this process, take a deep breath. Then shift the focus back to the tip of the nose until it is as clear as possible. During this process, take a deep exhale. Complete one back and forth movement as one repetition, repeating this 36 times.
Eye Massage
Close the eyes and focus on them for a moment. Place the index and middle fingertips of both hands on the Zan Zhu acupoints, located along the eye sockets. Massage and press gently, moving from top to outer side, then from bottom to inner side, following the path of the Jing Ming, Yu Yao, Si Zhu Kong, Tai Yang, Zan Zhu, and Tong Zi acupoints.
