Diet after breast cancer surgery

For patients with breast cancer, post-operative diet is very important, and its main purpose is to minimize the recurrence rate of breast cancer.

Eat more fiber-rich foods

Obesity and weight gain may lead to the development of breast cancer. It is important to consume less animal fats and more fibrous foods, vegetables, fruits, cereals and beans to reduce the estrogen in the body that may cause breast cancer and lower the recurrence rate of breast cancer.

Eat more protein foods

It is better for breast cancer patients to eat more protein foods that are easy to digest after surgery, such as milk, eggs, fish and soy products, which can effectively improve the anti-cancer ability of patients' body.

Properly replenish glycogen

Patients with breast ah should eat some sugar appropriately to replenish the body's heat after surgery because the sugar in patients' body will be destroyed after chemotherapy, so that the sugar element will drop rapidly and the lactic acid in the blood will increase, which is unfavorable to patients after surgery, so it should be replenished moderately.

Appropriate supplementation of fresh fruits

For post-operative breast cancer patients, they should eat some fresh fruits: watermelon, kiwi, apricot, apple, pear, strawberry, etc. are rich in vitamin C and vitamin B, which have certain anti-cancer effects. Moreover, jujube not only contains many anti-cancer ingredients such as hawthorn acid, but also has a therapeutic effect on the reduction of packet cells and platelet reduction caused by chemotherapy, so breast cancer patients can often eat jujube during chemotherapy.

Spinach with shredded ginger

Ingredients: 300g of spinach, 3g of fresh ginger, 3g of salt, 5g of soy sauce, 6g of sesame oil and 3g of pepper oil. Method: remove the yellow leaves of spinach, wash, cut into 6-7cm size sections. Peel the fresh ginger and cut it into fine shreds. Add water to the pot, set the fire to boil, add the spinach section slightly blanched, take out and control the water, gently squeeze, put into a plate to cool, add the fresh ginger and seasonings together with the cold spinach, mix well to taste.

Groundnut porridge

Ingredients: groundnut 300g, chestnut rice 150g. Method: Clean the groundnut, steam it in a cage, remove the skin and cut it into 3cm pieces with a knife. Wash the chestnut rice and set aside. Put the cleaned chestnut rice into a pot, add water to the right amount, first boil over high heat, then change to low heat and continue to boil, when the rice is to be cooked, add the groundnut pieces, cooked into porridge can be. Carp yam porridge Ingredients: 1 fresh crucian carp, 50 grams of raw yam, 100 grams of round-grained rice, a little salt. Method: Wash the crucian carp and remove the internal organs and scales, grind the raw yam into fine powder; boil the crucian carp and round-grained rice into porridge, add yam and refined salt when the porridge is ready. Effect: It can be used to prevent recurrence of breast cancer by strengthening the spleen and dampness, benefiting qi and nourishing yin.

Astragalus and wolfberry stewed pigeon

Ingredients: 30g each of Astragalus membranaceus and Lycium barbarum, 1 pigeon, salt, monosodium glutamate, onion, ginger and yellow wine. Method: drown the pigeon (young pigeon without hair) in water, remove the hair and guts, wash, put into the stewing pot, add water, then add astragalus and wolfberry, salt, scallions, ginger, yellow wine. Put the stewing pot with the duck and medicine into the pot and stew it in water. When serving, add a little monosodium glutamate. Usage: Serve as a dish, eat meat and drink soup. Effects: Nourishing Qi and blood, nourishing liver and kidney. Mainly used for treating deficiency of qi and blood, deficiency of liver and kidney, and low immune function after breast cancer surgery. Stewed snapper with yam and longan Ingredients: 200 grams of Chinese yam, 25 grams of longan meat, 1 snapper (weighing about 500 grams). Method: first put the snapper in a pot of boiling water, chopped off the head, claws, remove the shell cover, remove the trachea, guts, wash, cut into small pieces of 1 cm square, set aside. Then wash the home yam in water, shave off the thin layer of exterior skin, cut open, cut into thin slices, and cleaned longan meat, snapper small cubes together into the stew pot, add the right amount of fresh soup, and add wine, scallions, minced ginger, on the cage, stewed over high heat until the snapper meat cooked and rotten as crispy, take off, add salt, monosodium glutamate, five spice powder and sesame oil, mix well. Usage: Eat snapper meat, drink soup and chew yam and longan meat as a side dish. Efficacy: strengthen the spleen and benefit the qi, nourish the yin and produce fluid. Mainly used for postoperative dry mouth and red tongue, fatigue and mental weakness in breast cancer patients with deficiency of both qi and yin.

Rabbit stew with red dates

Ingredients: 60 grams of red dates and 250 grams of rabbit meat. Method: First, pick the red dates, wash them, put them in a bowl and set aside. Then wash the rabbit meat, into the pot of boiling water blanching, fish out, water cooled, cut into small cubes, with red dates into the casserole, add water, boil over high heat, cooking wine, change to low heat simmering for 40 minutes; when the rabbit meat cooked as crispy, add onion, ginger, salt, monosodium glutamate, five spice powder, mix well, and then simmer until boiling, drizzled with sesame oil is ready. Usage: Eat rabbit meat, drink soup, chew red dates and finish it on the same day. Efficacy: Double tonic qi and blood, restore physical strength. It is mainly used to treat postoperative fatigue and mental weakness of breast cancer patients with deficiency of both qi and blood.
