Making Ginseng Tea: Recommended Combinations and Recipes

Ginseng is a commonly used medicinal herb with the effects of nourishing Qi and Yin, clearing heat, and generating fluids. So how do you make ginseng tea? What are the recommended combinations for making ginseng tea?

Longan Ginseng Drink

Ingredients:

15g longan flesh, 3g ginseng.

Instructions:

1. Wash the longan flesh and ginseng, then put them into a cup;

2. Pour boiling water into the cup, cover and let it steep for 20 minutes.

Ginseng Astragalus Drink

Ingredients:

5g ginseng, 5-8g astragalus.

Instructions:

1. Wash the ginseng and astragalus;

2. Pour boiling water into the prepared herbs, cover and let it steep for about 5-10 minutes, then it can be consumed.

Ginseng Ophiopogon Drink

Ingredients:

10g ophiopogon, 4g ginseng, 6g schisandra, 3 slices of ginger.

Instructions:

1. Put the herbs into a pot and soak them in cold water for 20 minutes;

2. Boil the herbs over high heat for about 15 minutes;

3. Simmer over low heat for 25-30 minutes.

Gastrodia Ginseng Drink

Ingredients:

3-5g gastrodia, 3-5 slices of ginseng.

Instructions:

1. Rinse the gastrodia and ginseng;

2. Put them into a cup and pour boiling water over them.

Ginseng Goji Chrysanthemum Tea

Ingredients:

3g ginseng, 5g goji berries, 5g chrysanthemum.

Instructions:

1. Wash the chrysanthemum, ginseng, and goji berries;

2. Put them into a cup and pour 250ml boiling water over them;

3. Cover and let it steep for about 5 minutes.
