Menopause is one of the signs of aging, and most women enter menopause between the ages of 45 and 50. Although genetic factors and diseases can affect the timing of menopause, the specific reasons for individual differences are not yet fully understood.
A recent study in Turkey, reported by the British Daily Mail, found that women who eat fish twice a week or more can delay the onset of menopause. Researchers investigated the lifestyle habits of 1570 menopausal women aged 45 to 60 and found that regular fish consumption can delay menopause, while excessive sun exposure can accelerate it. In addition, engaging in strenuous physical labor and having high blood pressure can also lead to earlier menopause.
The study suggests that fish meat is rich in protein and B vitamins, which have a certain effect on the pituitary gland and can help regulate various hormone levels related to the female physiological cycle.
