【Location】Located in the head, directly above the midpoint of the posterior hairline, 1.5 inches above the Fengfu acupoint, at the concave spot on the upper edge of the prominent bulge outside the occipital bone.

【Anatomy】Located on the upper edge of the prominent bulge outside the occipital bone, between the left and right occipital muscles; there are branches of the left and right occipital arteries and veins, and deep inside there are often collateral blood vessels; it is also innervated by branches of the great occipital nerve.

【Indications】Heavy head, headache, dizziness, and loss of voice.

【Procedure】Needle insertion depth: 0.5-0.8 inches.

【Combination】Combined with Tongtian and Nao Kong to treat heavy headaches; combined with Renzhong, Taichong, and Fenglong to treat epilepsy.

【Note】The Governor Vessel intersects with the Foot Taiyang Meridian at this acupoint.
