Zhōngfēng - Middle Seal Acupuncture Points

【Location】On the dorsum of the foot, 1 inch in front of the inner ankle, in the depression between the Shāngqiū and Jiěxī points, on the medial side of the tibialis anterior tendon.
【Anatomy】On the medial side of the tibialis anterior tendon; crossed by the dorsal venous network of the foot, the anterior tibial artery; contains branches of the cutaneous nerves of the dorsum of the foot and the sural nerve.
【Indications】Hernia, penile pain, nocturnal emissions, urinary difficulty, jaundice, distention and fullness of the chest and abdomen, low back pain, cold feet, swollen and painful inner ankle.
【Technique】Direct needling 0.5-0.8 cun; can also be used for moxibustion.
【Combination】Combined with Gallbladder Shū, Yanglíngquán, Tàichōng, and Nèitíngxièrè Shūgān to treat jaundice and malaria; combined with Zúsānlǐ, Yīnlǐn to treat retraction of the scrotum into the abdomen, penile pain, nocturnal emissions, urinary disorders.
