[Location] On the dorsum of the foot, in the depression behind the first and second metatarsal bones.

[Anatomy] On the outer edge of the extensor tendon; there is a dorsal venous network of the foot, the dorsalis pedis artery on the dorsum of the first metatarsal bone; innervated by the dorsal branch of the foot.

[Indications] Headache, dizziness, hernia, irregular menstruation, urinary retention, enuresis, infantile convulsions, mania, epilepsy, flank pain, abdominal distension, jaundice, vomiting, dry throat, red, swollen and painful eyes, lower limb paralysis.

[Technique] Straight needle insertion of 0.5-0.8 cun.

[Combination] Combined with Dadun to treat seven types of hernia; Taichong is used to clear heat, Taixi is used to tonify, and Fuliu is used to treat dizziness due to liver yang hyperactivity; combined with Gu to open the four gates and treat limb convulsions; combined with Ganshu, Geshu, Taixi, and Xuehai to treat anemia, emaciation; combined with Jianzuo, Jiuwei, Xinshu, and Ganshu to treat mania and epilepsy.

[Note] (1) The point is called "Shu" according to the Foot Jueyin Meridian. (2) It is the original point of the liver.
