【Location】On the back, along the midline, in the depression below the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra.
【Anatomy】Within the lumbodorsal fascia, supraspinous ligament, and interspinous ligament; it has the posterior branch of the third intercostal artery, interspinous vein plexus; and the medial branch of the posterior branch of the third intercostal nerve.
【Indications】Cough, asthma, epilepsy, lumbosacral pain, furuncles on the back.
【Procedure】Oblique insertion, 0.5-1 cun.
【Combination】Combined with Shui Gou, Nei Guan, Feng Long, Xin Yu for treating mania; combined with Feng Chi, He Gu, Da Zhui for treating lung heat and cough; combined with Ling Tai, He Gu, Wei Zhong (purging method) for treating furuncle toxins.
