【Location】On the back, along the midline, below the spinous process of the sixth thoracic vertebra.
【Anatomy】Located in the lumbar fascia, supraspinous ligament, and interspinous ligament; it has the posterior branch of the sixth intercostal artery, interspinous venous plexus; and the inner branch of the posterior branch of the sixth intercostal nerve.
【Indications】Cough, asthma, severe back pain, boils.
【Technique】Obliquely insert the needle 0.5-1 inch.
【Combination】Combined with Taodao and Neiguan for treating intermittent malaria; combined with Gu (purging method) and Weizhong (bloodletting) for treating boils; combined with Yanglingquan and Zhigou for treating chest and rib pain; combined with Shenzhu and Zhiyang for treating back pain; combined with Danyu, Yanglingquan, and Taichong for treating jaundice.
