【Location】On the inner side of the thigh, 4 inches above the medial condyle of the femur, between the gracilis muscle and the sartorius muscle, posterior border of the sartorius muscle.
【Anatomy】Between the gracilis muscle and the sartorius muscle, midpoint of the adductor longus muscle, deep layer is the adductor brevis muscle; deep lateral side has the femoral artery and vein, with branches of the medial circumflex femoral artery; innervated by the anterior branch of the obturator nerve and the superficial and deep branches of the saphenous nerve.
【Indications】Irregular menstruation, enuresis, urinary retention, abdominal pain.
【Procedure】Straight insertion, 0.8 to 2 inches deep.
【Combination】Combined with Jiao Xin to treat irregular menstruation; combined with Guan Yuan and Shen Yu to treat enuresis due to qi deficiency; combined with Ji Men, Zu Wu Li, and Xue Hai to treat knee and groin pain, as well as muscular atrophy in children with poliomyelitis.
