The Twelve Meridians: Understanding the Body's Energy Pathways

1. Ren Meridian

The Ren Meridian is located in the front of the chest,

When the heart, spleen, and stomach are not functioning properly;

It connects the breasts above and the uterus below,

If it becomes blocked, it will cause aging.

2. Du Meridian

The Du Meridian runs along the spine,

It supervises the circulation of Qi and blood;

The organs and meridians are controlled by the Du Meridian,

When there is pain and discomfort in the corresponding areas.

3. Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian

The Gallbladder Meridian runs in the overlapping area of the trousers,

When there is disorder in secretion, it affects the nerves;

Drowsiness, excessive sweating, fatigue,

Swelling of the armpit and headache;

Inflammation of the lymph nodes causes local swelling.

4. Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian

The Liver Meridian corresponds to the Gallbladder Meridian,

It circulates and regulates secretion;

Pale skin, waist pain,

Dark circles and painful menstruation;

Dry eyes and excessive eye crust,

Excessive liver fire leads to guilt.

5. Hand Taiyin Lung Meridian

The Lung Meridian extends from the chest to the thumb,

The inner side of the arm belongs to the Yin meridian;

Respiratory and immune system control,

Dehydration causes sensitivity and stuffy nose;

Body heat and sweating with back acne,

Dryness, excess phlegm, and sore throat;

Cold and flu symptoms with internal emptiness.

6. Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian

The Large Intestine Meridian runs from the index finger to the armpit,

The outer side of the arm belongs to the Yang meridian;

Digestive system control,

If there is no pain, there will be abdominal distension;

Constipation, dry mouth, shoulder and neck pain,

Body heat, hemorrhoids, and headache.

7. Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian

The Stomach Meridian is located in front of the Gallbladder Meridian,

Three fingers away from the meridian;

Oral disorders, swollen and painful teeth,

Dry mouth, bad breath, abdominal distension;

Body heat, hiccups, preference for cold food,

Dry and constipated stool.

8. Foot Taiyin Spleen Meridian

The Spleen Meridian corresponds to the Stomach Meridian,

It controls the immune system;

Stomach distension, belching, flatulence,

Nausea and unbearable pain below the ribs;

Varicose veins, low blood pressure,

Rheumatism and joint pain.

9. Hand Shaoyin Heart Meridian

The Heart Meridian extends from the heart to the little finger,

The inner side of the arm belongs to the Yin meridian;

It controls the circulatory system,

Chest tightness and headache;

Restlessness, insomnia, and vivid dreams,

Shoulder and chest pain;

Red eyes, flushed cheeks, dry mouth,

Poor blood circulation, prefer to be in a quiet state,

Too much to worry about and heavy stress.

10. Hand Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian

The Small Intestine Meridian runs from the little finger to the shoulder,

The outer side of the arm belongs to the Yang meridian;

Digestive system control,

Sunburned ears can cause pain;

Abdominal distension and headache before menstruation,

Pain in the scapula and back.

11. Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian

The Bladder Meridian corresponds to the Kidney Meridian,

It controls the urinary and skeletal systems;

Yellow urine and bladder pain,

Urinary tract infection requires hygiene;

Weakness in the limbs and back pain,

Hemorrhoids make sitting difficult, shoulder and neck pain.

12. Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian

The Kidney Meridian is located behind the Liver Meridian,

Not far from two fingers apart;

It controls the endocrine system,

Decreased urine output and frequent urination;

Eye bags, wrinkles, cold feet,

Swelling in the lower limbs and easily startled;

Lower back and abdominal pain before menstruation,

Facial spots and heart palpitations;

Memory decline and lack of dreams,

Symptoms are relieved gradually.

13. Hand Jueyin Pericardium Meridian

The Pericardium Meridian extends from the chest to the middle finger,

The inner side of the arm belongs to the Yin meridian;

It controls the secretion and circulation,

Differences in circulation cause vascular diseases;

Rapid heartbeat and constipation,

Restlessness, red eyes, and pain in the upper limbs.

14. Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian

The Sanjiao Meridian extends from the ring finger to the shoulder,

The outer side of the arm belongs to the Yang meridian;

It controls the secretion and circulation,

Immune system decline and depression;

Fatigue and susceptibility to chronic diseases.
