1. Standard location:
The Tian Chong acupoint is located on the head, about 2 inches above the posterior edge of the ear, and 0.5 inches posterior to the Shuai Gu acupoint.
To locate the Tian Chong acupoint, start from the root of the ear and move directly upward for 2 inches. It can be accessed while sitting upright or lying on one's side.
2. Locating the Tian Chong acupoint:
Sit upright or lie on one's side, and locate the acupoint above the root of the ear, 2 inches upward, and about 0.5 inches posterior to the Shuai Gu acupoint.
3. Anatomical structure of the acupoint:
The layers beneath the Tian Chong acupoint include the skin, subcutaneous tissue, auricular muscle, temporal fascia, and temporal muscle. The skin is innervated by the auricular nerve branch of the mandibular nerve.

It is the meeting point of the gallbladder meridian and the bladder meridian, and has the function of clearing heat and dispelling wind. Therefore, its main function is promoting circulation.
