External Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Ointments for Preventing and Treating Diseases

External application of traditional Chinese medicine ointments on the affected area of the body, combined with massage and other techniques, is a method that utilizes the comprehensive therapeutic effects of massage and medication to prevent and treat diseases. Common techniques include rubbing, kneading, pressing, and rolling. The ointments mainly consist of blood circulation-promoting, warming meridians and dispelling cold, and strengthening muscles and bones drugs.

5. Severe wind, toxic swelling, numbness and pain: Use Ye Ge Gao (wild kudzu, rhinoceros horn, snake's bile, croton, aconite root, platycodon, sheng ma, fang feng, sichuan pepper, dried ginger, turtle shell, realgar, croton, dan shen, rhododendron).

7. Lower back pain: Use Mo Yao Dan (fu zi tip, aconite root tip, rhizoma arisaematis, cinnabar, dried ginger, camphor, clove, musk, wu zhu yu, cinnamon).

8. Tendon injury, strain, rheumatic pain: Use Dong Qing Gao (wintergreen oil mixed with petroleum jelly).

9. Body weakness, facial paralysis: Use Wu Tou Gao (aconite root, croton, wild kudzu).

10. Headache, stiff neck, limbs pain due to typhoid fever: Apply Qing Gao (dang gui, wu zhu yu, aconite root, croton, sichuan pepper, chuanxiong, bai zhi, fu zi) to the affected area.

11. Accumulation in the abdomen, strong pain in the neck, back, and waist, as well as facial paralysis: Use Tai Yi Shen Gao (sichuan pepper, fu zi, sheng ma, croton, chuanxiong, almond, otter bone, xi xin, bai zhi, licorice, bai zhu, dang gui).
