December 12, 2023

Pressing on the spine or the bladder meridian on both sides of the spine is called spinal point therapy. It is also known as spinal pressing therapy. The patient is placed in a prone or sitting position, and the practitioner uses the tip of their thumb along the spine and on both sides of the spine to apply pressure, or uses the thumb and index finger on both sides of the spine, and then applies pressure along the first side of the bladder meridian on the foot. It has the effects of regulating yin and yang, promoting the flow of qi and blood, harmonizing the organs and meridians. It is mainly used to treat conditions such as neurasthenia, insomnia, childhood malnutrition, diarrhea, as well as visceral diseases of the digestive and respiratory systems.
