1. Neck and neck rocking massage therapy

The patient sits, relaxes the neck and neck, and the practitioner stands behind or to the side of the patient. One hand supports the top of the head, and the other hand supports the chin. The hands coordinate to exert force in opposite directions, gradually turning the neck and neck from a forward position to a backward position in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction, making a circular rocking motion. This can be repeated several times. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, and lubricating joints. It is mainly used to treat stiff neck, cervical spondylosis, soft tissue strain in the neck and neck, as well as severe neck pain and limited movement.

2. Shoulder joint rocking massage therapy

The operation method of shoulder joint rocking massage therapy is not the same. Depending on the degree of limited shoulder joint mobility, suitable operation methods can be selected. There are three methods as follows:

- Elbow rocking shoulder method: The patient sits, relaxes the shoulders, and bends the elbow joint on the affected side. The practitioner stands on the side, with a bow stance and a slightly forward posture. Hold the upper part of the shoulder joint with one hand, and hold the affected side forearm with the hand on the same side, so that the affected forearm rests on the practitioner's forearm. Then, make a moderate range of clockwise and counterclockwise circular movements of the shoulder joint. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, releasing adhesions, and lubricating joints. It is mainly used to treat shoulder joint periarticular inflammation, shoulder muscle injuries, etc.

- Handshake rocking shoulder method: The patient sits, relaxes the affected limb, and the practitioner stands on the side. One hand supports the upper part of the shoulder joint, and the hand on the same side as the affected limb shakes hands with the hand on the healthy side. With slight force, the affected limb is pulled straight and then makes small clockwise and counterclockwise rocking movements of the shoulder joint. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, releasing adhesions, and lubricating joints. It is mainly used to treat shoulder joint periarticular inflammation, shoulder muscle injuries, etc.

- Large-scale rocking shoulder method: The patient sits, relaxes the affected limb, and the practitioner stands on the side with a T-shaped step. First, the palms of both hands face each other and support the patient's wrist. Then, slowly lift the affected limb up and forward. During this process, the hand below gradually turns over. When the affected limb is lifted to 160° in front, pinch the wrist. The other hand slides down from the wrist to the upper part of the shoulder joint. At this time, pause for a moment, and both hands coordinate their strength. The hand pressing on the shoulder slightly presses the shoulder joint down and forward, while the hand holding the wrist lifts it slightly, stretching the shoulder joint. Then, make a large-scale light movement of the shoulder joint. Repeat this process, alternating the coordinated movements of the two hands up and down, making the affected limb continuously rotate. If it rotates backward, the movements of the two hands are opposite. Generally, each direction is rocked 3-5 times. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, releasing adhesions, lubricating joints, promoting blood circulation, expanding the chest, and regulating qi. It is mainly used to treat shoulder joint periarticular inflammation, shoulder muscle injuries, etc.

3. Elbow joint rocking massage therapy

The patient sits, and the affected elbow is flexed to about 45°. The practitioner holds the back of the affected limb's elbow with one hand and holds the wrist with the other hand, making the elbow joint rotate in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, lubricating joints, and releasing adhesions. It is mainly used to treat elbow joint sprains, sequelae of elbow fractures, etc.

4. Wrist joint rocking massage therapy

The practitioner holds the proximal end of the patient's wrist joint with one hand and holds the palm with the other hand. On the basis of slight stretching and shaking, make clockwise and counterclockwise circular movements of the wrist joint. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, and lubricating joints. It is mainly used to treat wrist joint sprains, sequelae of wrist fractures, and limited wrist movement.

5. Palm and finger joint rocking massage therapy

The practitioner holds the palm with one hand and holds the affected finger with the other hand, making clockwise and counterclockwise circular movements of the palm and finger joints under slight stretching. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals. It is mainly used to treat tenosynovitis of the fingers, sprains of the palm and finger joints, and pain and limited movement in the palm and finger joints.

6. Waist rocking massage therapy

The patient sits, relaxes the waist. The practitioner sits or stands behind the patient, holds one side of the waist with one hand, and supports the opposite shoulder with the other hand. Both hands exert force to rock the waist, allowing it to rotate slowly. It has the effects of relaxing meridians, lubricating joints. It is mainly used to treat lumbago, stiffness, and limited movement in the waist.

7. Hip joint rocking massage therapy

The patient lies supine, and the affected limb flexes the hip and knee. The practitioner stands on the side, holds the knee with one hand, and holds the heel or ankle with the other hand. Both hands cooperate to flex the hip and knee joints to about 90°, and then make clockwise or counterclockwise rotations of the hip joint. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, lubricating joints. It is mainly used to treat hip muscle strain, adductor muscle strain, and hip joint pain and limited movement caused by lumbosacral pain.

8. Ankle joint rocking massage therapy

The patient lies supine, and the lower limb is naturally extended. The practitioner sits at the foot end, holds the heel with one hand to fix it, and holds the toes with the other hand. Apply slight force to stretch and pull, and at the same time, make clockwise and counterclockwise circular rocking movements. It has the effects of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, lubricating joints, and promoting qi and movement. It is mainly used to treat ankle joint sprains, local pain, and limited movement.

9. Neck board massage therapy

There are various methods of neck board massage therapy, such as inclined neck board method, cervical rotation positioning board method, neck joint board method, and cervical pressure board method.
