How to Massage the Body with Oil

  1. Gentle Strokes

This is the most useful technique in essential oil massage. It refers to a series of gentle and soothing movements that allow the essential oil to penetrate the body, promoting relaxation and tranquility. During the massage, use the entire palm of your hand, not just your fingers. Keep your hands relaxed and the pressure can be strong or gentle, with movements big or small. This will relax the muscles and increase blood circulation, relieving tension and stress.

  2. Kneading and Pinching

This technique is similar to kneading dough. The thumb can exert slight pressure, but the movements should be slow and moderate. These movements are very helpful for areas with thick fat and the back, as they can relax the muscles, promote blood and lymphatic flow, and assist in the elimination of toxins.

When using these basic techniques for massage on different parts of the body, it is important to always massage in the direction towards the heart. When massaging infants or elderly people, use gentle stroking movements.
