Self-massage of the head and face can increase blood circulation, reduce wrinkles, eliminate fatigue, and beautify the face. It has good therapeutic effects on hypertension, dizziness, headaches, facial paralysis, tinnitus, myopia, and oral ulcers.
2. Methods of operation
(1) Hair
Step 1: Place both hands together with fingers slightly apart, and use your fingertips to push and rub the temples on both sides of the head, from the front hairline to the root of the ear. Then move towards the back, passing the earlobe, until the occipital wind pool acupoint. Repeat this motion 20-30 times.
Step 2: After that, slightly bend the fingers of both hands and exert pressure with the fingertips. Start from the front hairline and quickly comb and scratch towards the back, with a rhythm, and also press or lightly pinch the top of the head. Repeat this motion about 15 times.
(2) Face
Step 1: Sit or lie down with your limbs slightly apart. Place both hands horizontally on the forehead and rub from top to bottom 5-6 times. Then use the index fingers of both hands to respectively press on the temples, Jingming, and Sibai acupoints for 5 minutes.
Step 2: Rub both palms together to warm them up, and then place the index, middle, and ring fingers on the lower jaw. Repeat pushing upwards to below the nose 20-30 times, and then push from the sides of the nose to the front of the ears.
Step 3: Bend the thumbs of both hands and place them on the center of the forehead, using the radial side of the thumb. Push from the inside to the outside along the eyebrow arch to the hairline at the temples. Repeat this motion for a few minutes.
(3) Eyes
Step 1: Use the fingertips of both hands' index fingers to massage the acupoints around the eyes, including Jingming, Zanzhu, Yuyao, Sizhukong, Chengqi, Qiu Hou, and Tongzi.
