February 28, 2024

After the festive feasting, I believe everyone wants to know how to lose weight in spring and get rid of their excess fat. However, people often feel frustrated and unable to resist the temptation of delicious food. What should we do? The following teas have digestive benefits and can help you reduce fat and relieve greasiness. Try drinking them to lose weight after the holidays!

  [Roasted Rice Tea]

Roasted rice porridge and roasted rice tea are not only able to remove the accumulated fat in the intestines, but also nourish the stomach and relieve thirst.

  Method:

  1. Heat a pan without any oil, then add rice and dry-fry it over medium-low heat.

  2. Keep stirring and frying the rice with a spatula.

  3. Continue frying the rice until it turns brown. Be careful not to burn it! The rice is now ready.

  4. The roasted rice can be used in various ways. Pour hot water into the roasted rice and let it steep for a while to make roasted rice tea.

  5. You can also make a bowl of roasted rice porridge. Boil a pot of water, add the roasted rice and simmer over low heat until the porridge thickens.

  [Fruit Tea]

The sweet and sour fruit tea has a refreshing taste, helps to reduce greasiness, and also aids digestion.

  Method:

  1. Wash the fruits, peel if necessary, and cut them into small pieces. Slice the lemon (two slices).

  2. Put the fruit pieces, lemon slices, and red tea bags in a teapot; pour in hot water.

  3. Cover the teapot and let it steep for three minutes to let the red tea release its flavor, then remove the tea bags (set them aside, put them back in the teapot for a few minutes when making the next brew). When the fruit tea cools to a temperature that won't burn your hand, add honey and stir well before drinking.

[Osmanthus Dried Tangerine Peel Sour Plum Soup]

This soup includes dried tangerine peel and dried osmanthus flowers.

Both dried tangerine peel and dried osmanthus flowers have the effects of regulating qi, invigorating the spleen, drying dampness, and resolving phlegm. They are especially suitable for the autumn season when excessive phlegm is prone to accumulate in the throat.

The golden color of the osmanthus flowers floating in the dark red sour plum soup adds a touch of elegance to the drink.

  Method:

  1. Rinse the dried plums, hawthorn, licorice, and dried tangerine peel. Put them in a pot and soak in hot water for 5 hours. Fill another pot with cold water, bring it to a boil, and let it cool. Place the pot with the ingredients on the stove, cover it, bring it to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.

  2. After cooking, strain out the soup using a sieve. Pour the soup through the sieve into the cooled boiled water. Add sugar and stir well. Sprinkle dried osmanthus flowers and mix well.

  [Gancao Sour Plum Soup]

For this recipe, you need to use honey-fried licorice, which is more nourishing and beneficial for qi and digestion compared to raw licorice.

Both honey-fried licorice and dried plums can be easily found in Chinese herbal stores.
