Men's back pain is not necessarily a sign of kidney deficiency, but in reality, whenever the topic of men's back pain is mentioned, some people always think it is due to kidney deficiency. As a result, the best treatment period for the delayed disease is missed. Therefore, the first thing to do is to understand what kidney deficiency is and what are the causes of back pain.

Is men's back pain caused by kidney deficiency?

Men's back pain is not necessarily caused by kidney deficiency, it may also be a symptom of the following diseases.

1. Lumbar spine problems

Most people experience persistent dull pain in the lower back, which is relieved when lying down and worsens when standing. In general, it can be tolerated, and the lower back can be moderately active or walk slowly. Some may experience sudden spasms in the lower back, and coughing and sneezing can worsen the pain, requiring bed rest, which seriously affects daily life and work.

2. Inflammation

More common in people over 50 years old, back pain, soreness, stiffness, and difficulty in movement in the morning. Back pain improves after activity, but can worsen with excessive activity. Accompanying symptoms often include low-grade fever, night sweats, fatigue, and loss of appetite. Prompt medical attention is required to avoid serious spinal deformities, abscesses, and spinal cord compression.

3. Muscle problems

Such as lumbar muscle strain, lumbar muscle fibrosis, etc., often caused by long-term improper sitting posture due to occupational factors or incomplete treatment of lumbar sprains.

4. Urinary system

Such as nephritis, pyelonephritis, stones, renal ptosis, hydronephrosis, etc. Nephritis presents deep pain in the lumbar rib triangle area; pyelonephritis has obvious back pain and tenderness. If there is renal abscess, it is often accompanied by unilateral back pain and local tenderness. Kidney stones often cause colicky pain and severe tenderness.

5. Tumors

Spinal tumors often present as persistent and severe back pain, which is difficult to relieve with rest and medication.

6. Others

Prostate cancer and prostatitis in men, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, cervicitis, uterine prolapse, dysmenorrhea, and pelvic inflammatory disease in women can all cause pain in the lumbar and sacral region.

Peptic ulcer perforation, acute pancreatitis, some pancreatic cancers, and chronic enteritis; pleurisy, pulmonary tuberculosis, lung cancer, and other diseases can cause reactive back pain due to visceral pain stimulation.

What is kidney deficiency?

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that kidney deficiency refers to insufficiency of kidney essence, qi, yin, and yang. There are many types of kidney deficiency, among which the most common are kidney yin deficiency and kidney yang deficiency.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the kidneys are closely related to reproductive function, and kidney deficiency can also affect sexual function: decreased sexual interest in men, decreased libido, impotence or weak erection, spermatorrhea, semen leakage, premature ejaculation, microscopic examination shows reduced sperm count or decreased sperm motility, infertility. In women, kidney deficiency can cause underdeveloped uterus, such as infantile uterus, premature ovarian failure, amenorrhea, irregular menstruation, decreased sexual desire, and infertility.

Reminder: Therefore, it is a narrow view to say that men should replenish their kidneys if they feel back pain. It is best to go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination as early as possible, determine the cause, and then treat and replenish the kidneys.
