Manifestations of insufficient kidney energy

1. Lower back pain

The most common manifestation of insufficient kidney energy is lower back pain. It is characterized by a sense of excessive fatigue, dull pain in the lower back, and even the inability to straighten up when severe.

2. Appearance of dark circles

According to traditional Chinese medicine, black represents the kidney. When kidney energy is insufficient, melanin will accumulate in the eyes, resulting in dark circles.

3. Weakened immune system

Kidney energy is the original driving force of the body's physiological activities. Insufficient kidney energy weakens the body's ability to resist viruses, leading to symptoms such as feeling cold, easy colds, and fever.

4. Severe hair loss

According to traditional Chinese medicine, the luster of the hair can reflect the condition of kidney energy. Insufficient kidney energy cannot nourish the hair, leading to dryness and easy hair loss.

5. Lack of energy

Kidney energy is the primitive driving force of the body's physiological activities. Sufficient kidney energy makes a person energetic and physically strong. On the contrary, insufficient kidney energy slows down the body's operation, depriving the person of sufficient energy, making them lethargic and yawning frequently.

6. Decline in hearing

The kidney is associated with multiple organs in the body, and the strength of kidney energy determines the hearing function of the ears. If kidney energy is insufficient, corresponding symptoms such as hearing loss and tinnitus may occur. This is mainly manifested in older people with insufficient kidney energy.

Food to improve insufficient kidney energy in men

1. Lotus seeds

There are red lotus seeds and white lotus seeds in the market. Red lotus seeds have a harder texture, but they have better effects on kidney and blood nourishment. White lotus seeds have a more aromatic and glutinous texture, and they have a stronger effect on tonifying the spleen. In addition to traditional methods of consumption such as lotus seed porridge, red date, silver ear, and lotus seed soup, soaking lotus seeds in tea can be more effective in reducing internal heat, and soaking lotus seeds in alcohol can have a more significant kidney-strengthening effect.

Goji berries have a strong kidney-nourishing effect. When eating goji berries, the key is to control the amount. Generally, eating a handful a day is enough, just chew them like raisins.

3. Black rice

Black is associated with the kidney meridian. Therefore, black rice has the effect of nourishing yin and tonifying the kidney.
