Stretching exercises to help grow taller

October 5, 2023

It is difficult to grow taller naturally after the bone scale line closes in adulthood, but what determines human height is not only the bones themselves, but also the bone gaps and interbone tissues. After practicing stretching exercises for a period of time, the interbone tissues return to their optimal thickness, there is sufficient space between the bones, and the height will increase by 2~5 cm. So, which stretching exercises can help grow taller?

Prone stretching

First of all, find a piece of yoga or on a clean floor, lie face down on the ground, with the palms of your hands propped down in the position of the shoulders vertically down. Push upward, straighten your arms, tilt your head back, and lift your chin up, so as to bend your spine. Bend back as far as possible, holding for 5 to 30 seconds at a time.

Prone extensions stretch the back and stimulate the shoulder blades, arms, lower back and chest, stretching the body.

Spinal Stretch

Stand with your feet together, then raise your arms above your head, palms forward. Exhale and bend forward from the end of the spine. Bring your hands all the way down until they touch the ground. Bring your head, chest and abdomen close to your legs. Do your best and keep breathing evenly.

Spinal stretching enhances the extension of the spine, pulls apart bone gaps and makes the body appear taller.

Downward Facing Dog

Downward Facing Dog is also a simple headstand pose that requires the feet to be open, shoulder-width apart, with the hands in front of you, usually slightly wider than the shoulders. The thighs and torso are at an angle of about ninety degrees, and the whole movement is full of power, with the thighs stretching strongly upward and pushing backward so that the spine is completely stretched and relaxed.

Downward Facing Dog stretches the ligaments in the legs, trims the lines of the whole body, energizes the spine, improves posture, and makes the body more upright.

Spinal Twist

Spinal twist requires sitting with a straight back and both legs extended forward. Then bring the left calf inward so that the bottom of the left foot is next to the inside of the right thigh, and move the right foot beyond the left knee. Then left arm, put it on the outside of the right knee, and then extend the right hand forward, high and eye level, with both eyes gazing at the fingertips.

Spinal twist pose helps to eliminate back pain, lumbago and hip pain caused by sedentary lifestyle, effectively relieves fatigue of shoulders and neck, corrects poor posture such as hunchback and buckled shoulders, and also nourishes the nervous system.

Touch High

Touch high, that is to say, jump up to touch the target you want to touch. Choose a flat ground, then choose a suitable target, and insist on jumping up to touch high many times a day, and after insisting on it for a period of time, you can see the changes.

Because people up to touch high when the body's cartilage is stretched the longest, in the moment of falling to the ground, the cartilage gap is the shortest, in this compression stimulation, for the effect of growing taller is very good.
